Overview
Since start, Propeller has been the sole design partner for green-tech startup ZPARQ. With products and services designed to be sustainable over the whole value chain, and with a circular approach, ZPARQ's vision is to change marine propulsion as you know it.
ZPARQ’s electric boat motor is designed on a unique patented ‘open-pod’ technology – a motor completely immersed in water without encapsulation. With very few moving parts and a small form factor, the motor delivers high power for its low volume and cross-sectional area. This design ensures a longer range and lower drag at speed compared to competitors’ solutions.
The Z10.
ZPARQ's first consumer product is the Z10. Inspired by the traditional rudder and built on the patented open-pod solution, it delivers unmatched power relative to its low weight.
Smarter controls for cleaner boating.
Through the ZPARQ app, users can control the engine's settings with precision. Set a maximum range, adjust speed, fine-tune the motor to extend battery life, and much more — all from your device. Real-time performance data and battery status updates ensure you make the most out of every boating adventure.

Innovative design meets Scandinavian elegance.
We created the ZPARQ brand and identity from the ground up. We crafted a sporty, dark, yet Scandinavian-inspired design that highlights the incredible technology behind their electric boat motor. Our comprehensive work included everything from designing the logo and establishing brand guidelines to developing an intricate and extensive design system in Figma. The result is a cohesive and striking brand that perfectly represents ZPARQ's innovative spirit.
